Dear Neil,

Do you think the issue of the veneration of Nestorius et al. would ever be a point of contention in future reunion talks between the Assyrians and the CHaldeans?

Alex,

The topic certainly has to be addressed at some point. I was trying to locate the site where reports of the various dialogue commissions are posted, to see if it has been discussed, but I can't seem to find the link frown right this minute.

Our new Eparch, Archbishop Cyril, is a member of the Commission conducting the Assyrian-Catholic dialogue. When I see him next, hopefully sometime in the weeks coming, I'll ask him whether the matter has been addressed at all yet and I'll let you know what I find out.

Many years,

Neil
