Is this the church of the priestless Raskolniks that have the iconostasis attached to the wall?

No, this is the Old Rite Church of the Nativity(ROCOR) under Bishop Daniel(Alexandrov). Please refrain from using the word Raskolnik, as it is very offensive to our Old Rite brethren. It literally means schismatic.

Sorry. I didn't know. Most of the Roman Catholic dictionaries and encyclopedi use the term 'Raskolnik'.

I've seen 'Old Believer' used as well, it this term OK?

No problem. Old believer is OK, but kind of like referring to Roman Catholics as "Papists". Old Ritualists is good, or you can refer to the members of the Church above as being Yedinovertsy (единоверчество).

Interesting. In Dostoevsky's Crime & Punishment, the antagonist figure, who embodies all of the traits of Nietsche's "superman" figure, is given the name "Raskolnikov". But, I don't think that Feodor Dostoevsky was taking a "pot shot" at the Old Believers. He was probably just underlying that Nietsche's thinking was "schismatic" in that it was ungodly.

Not to get too far off topic, but in "The Way of the Pilgrim" the Pilgrim meets an Old Believer whom he calls by the "R Word."

Can Catholics attend the Divine Liturgy in this church and see everything, or do they have to stay near the door?

That is one beautiful church. I would love to attend Liturgy there sometime. I would be as respectful as I could. It would be an honor to attend a Liturgy in a church that is that wonderful.

They would love to have you. A kinder more welcoming group would be hard to find. Very good people.
