Pictures: My Ordination to the Priesthood
As many of you folks know, I was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, June 6th in St. Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Here are some photos of the occasion; if there are any questions, I'll be happy to (hopefully) answer them.

Father Jon - Praise God! Many years! These pictures bring tears to my eyes! I think ordination Masses, at least in the "west", are the best kept secret with a real loss to our people. I'm not a "cradle Catholic" and never did anyone mention to me the great blessing of participating in an ordination. Thanks be to God that circumstances first took me to one a few years ago.
How wonderful to be ordained on the threshold of Year for Priests. May that be a special blessing to you.
In the vesting shot on my computer it reads "...my high school chaplain has bee" and then cuts off. What is the rest of that sentence? How special for him to share in that special practice of vesting you. -Marylouise

Fr Jon,
My congrads on your ordination. I'm sure that your family is very proud of you. I once though about becoming a priest myself.
Good luck with your ministry and keep me (and all of us on the forum) in your prayers.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai
