candle making
This parish regularly makes their candles. It's quite an operation, but as my dear mom used to say "Many hands make light work". I was really happy it happened on a day when I could join in agin and be helpful to a parish that's given me so much. They have a better series of shots of the process in their website Photo Gallery 2003 Gallery ยป Candlemaking

Very, very nice. Thanks for posting this, Mary Louise.

How cool is that. Thank you Jesus for the labor of their hands and their love for you.

It's not my parish, I consider myself a guest there, and when I took pictures I wasn't thinking of posting them so I didn't ask permission to do so. So I've cropped them and only posted ones I thought don't really show discernible faces. That's Fr Stephan the pastor in the straw hat. It's very typical of this parish that they make their own candles. It's part of what I so love about the intent there.
