These are photos of this wonderful icon's visit to Holy Archangels Orthodox Church [orthodoxphoenix.org](ROCOR)during the feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God last year.

Interesting that it has a surmounted crown, since I was recently reading a thread on an Orthodox forum in which several posters decried the presence of such as a Catholic innovation. Many years, Neil "One day all our ethnic traits ... will have disappeared. Time itself is seeing to this. And so we can not think of our communities as ethnic parishes, ... unless we wish to assure the death of our community."
