St. Gregory the Theologian Byzantine Catholic Church, Ohio
Saint Gregory the Theologian Byzantine Catholic Church, Lakewood, Ohio. Exterior photos, interior of Iconostasis, stained glass window of Resurrection.
For a history of this church begun in September of 1905, kindly go to:
St. Gregory's closed at the end of last year. The Iconostas screen was successfully installed in St. Athanasius Byzantine Catholc church in Indianapolis, IN. See photos on the web site www.saindy.com. [saindy.com.]
The closing Divine Liturgy was served on Dec 11, 2011. In tribute to and memory of its sister parish, St Nicholas in Barberton hosts a page of photos taken that day at its Facebook site.

Thank you Neil and Dr. Henry P, thats why our site is trying to preserve all this history via photos and historical documentation. It is the same sadly for Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio, a magnificient edifice but, they just could not maintain it any longer, the final liturgy was held on November 1, 2009 and the video of this is so sad and heartbreaking to watch.

Do you know where the baptismal font was relocated?
The chandelier, as I recollect, is considered particularly exquisite. Am I right on that?

Thanks, Joy - I think that was the photo that I first saw of it.

Wonderful news that all of this was preserved and the iconostasis and chandelier will be out to use!
