I was reflecting a bit, doing some reading, and I would just like to say that I'm offering an unqualified apology to the users of this forum. I'm sorry for having offended anyone, for rubbing people the wrong way, for being "combative", and in general, a pain in the rear-end. [Linked Image]

I'm truly sorry. I beg your forgiveness.

With this said, this does not mean I have changed any of my views, my problems with the ecumenical movement, etc. It is only my admission that I'm a poor sinner, who has a long, long way to go on his journey. God help me.

In the future, I've ammended to be a little gentler in my approach. For while I confess that I am easily agitated, my concerns over the issues I brought up are genuine, and I do honestly believe this whole matter to be of vital importance. I believe that we are seeing the betrayel of the Catholic Faith right before our eyes, but have no inclination or desire to "see."

Please pray for me.

PAX CHRISTI

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Dear Augustine - Thanks for the apology. For my part it is accepted. Time will tell the sincerity of your metanoia, in the meantime, please consider the immortal (if non-Biblical) quote of a Catholic convert (like myself), Marshall McLuhan: "The medium is the message."

If you truly wish your message to be heard, couch it in terms that are not so combative & overly confrontational. If some Protestants are termed "Bible Thumpers", you have been a "Bull Thumper", to coin a phrase. I know of what I speak - I, too, would "rather be right". But being right, and having to prove yourself right means next to nothing if you (or I) provoke a brother or sister to outrage and thus into sin.

Please do pick your fights judiciously and

Have a Blessed Holy Week.

In Christ,

CAPTL,
sinner
