Thank you for posting that very interesting article, although I can't help but feel it's meant to be a Russian Orthodox propaganda piece against the Patriarch of Constantinople. :rolleyes:

Yup, that one was seen here before, IIRC.

And yes, that plus several articles in that month's online edition of "pravoslavnie" looked like Moscow (or some extremist Russians) was sharpening its knives against Constantinople (while taking several typical thrusts against the evil west). frown

I kind of ended up laughing in the end. Let's not forget that the Russian Church also had Western Influences. I mean just look at the Western Style Iconography in both the Greek and Russian Churches.
