Dear Benjamin,

Thank you for sharing these correctives and the richness of Western Orthodoxy with us.

I invite all the posters and lurkers here on this Forum to drink deeply of the waters of Western Orthodoxy to experience this richness!

Dear Ben- I once went to a western rite Liturgy and was told it was the rite of St. Gregory? Is this the same as the rite of St. Tikhon?

God's Peace
Michael

Dear Michael,

Actually, no, the Rite of St Gregory is the Orthodox Latin Rite while that of St Tikhon is the Orthodox Anglican Rite based on the Book of Common Prayer.

God Bless,

Dear Michael,

No problem!

The Antiochian Western Rite Missal is beautiful and has both liturgies with their propers included under a single cover.

They also have a "revamped" Book of Common Prayer (which is not called that) that includes all the rites and sacraments.

Just like St Elias' Church in Brampton sets a great example for all Ukrainian Catholics throughout North America, so too does St Mark's Church in Colorado for the Western Rite of Orthodoxy.
