Christ Is Risen!

Alex,

What a wonderful childhood you must have had with such splendid grandparents!

Blessings!

Michael

My priestly granddad and his presbytera would have special "bread baking days" to prepare the prosphora.

This was always an all-day affair that ended with us eating up the unusuable remainders to the accompaniment of coffee and tea.

Even I had a role . . .

I'll never forget those days I spent with my grandparents. It brings a tear just talking about it now!

Dear Sarum,

It wasn't all fun and games you know!

I had to get up mighty early to go to Church with Fr. John for those great feastdays.

Once when we were on the bus on a Gregorian Calendar Christmas Day, we spied a police officer around the corner.

My grandfather winked at me as he said, "Must be an Old Calendarist like us!"

Alex
