This thread has deviated from the original title of the discussion. Much interesting material on the place of the Councils in our life is to be found in the earlier section, and I hope this will not be lost.
May I remind all on this forum, that this is a friendly gathering place, where we always speak with courtesy and respect for one another, for one another's Churches and Church leaders. We are slow to judge, and ready to learn.
Let us continue in charity, be ready to forgive, and always consider courtesy the obligation of every post.
