Anyone care to translate? Or is this how secret groups pass messages now? I know I may be paranoid but hey! just because your paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you. I think in these times it is good to be a bit paranoid. David

Dear David, Our friend is asking Abdur where he's from and that his mother was from Bosnia and he mentions the town name. If you knew a language other than English, you probably wouldn't be so paranoid Alex

Dear David, You know the story about the two mice being chased by a cat? O.K. I'll tell you They were cornered by a cat and as the cat slowly approached them, one mouse nervously cried to his friend about what they were going to do. The other mouse just got up on his hind legs and shouted, "Arf, arf!" at the cat. The cat seemed surprised, but continued his approach . . . The mouse then rushed at the cat howling and barking like a dog. The cat just took off. The nervous mouse asked his colleague how he managed to do that . . . "Why my dear fellow," the mouse happily replied. "There is a decided advantage in knowing a second language . . ." Have a great day. Alex

Dear Companeros:
Just like the Pope's advantage in being proficient in 7 (or is it 8?) languages, spoken as well as written, over the EP's "knowing" only Greek!?

The EP speaks Greek, Turkish, English, and French, I believe. He was also an officer in the Turkish army, which is probably a surprising fact to most readers. Abdur, neither a Muslim mercenary member of the Serb Secret Army, a/k/a "The Black Hand," or a Muslim fifth columnist, or even a Shriner or Mason! Phew!

Dear Friends,
The EP is also fluent in Latin and Italian.
When he visited the Pope some time ago, he spoke beautifully in Italian and his article was reprinted over and over by Italian newspapers who praised his command of the language.
By his knowledge of both Latin and Greek, he is truly in the best traditions of the "Patriarch of the Romans" (the only title by which he was addressed by the Turks).

Dear DavidB, Sorry for the 'code' It's just Serbo-Croat, although us American-born Balkan types sometimes treat it like thieves' cant. I just wanted to see if Abdur was a fellow Bosanac (Nisam Bosnjak!). Orthodox Catholic, Your translation was right-on. However, 'porodica' is a general word for 'family.' You are right though, it is my mom's side that is from former Yugo. My 'kedves apa' is Hungarian and German. Gule Gule, Dylan
