Many blessed years, papa Benedetto!!! Contrary to the opinion of the mainstream media and the dissenters on my campus, I think that Benedict XVI may very well turn out to be a great reformer of the Church afterall! lol

It's the same as this one, which has been going around for a few days:

Yeah, but the pallium is the old, small one--not the larger, more traditional one that the Holy Father brought back at his inauguration!

But... what's his motto? The same as his episcopal one?

(Or, as Timon said to Simba when Simba asked him, "What's a motto?": "Nothing--what's a motto with you?!")

Martin,

Novus Ordo Watch is the like the Catholic Enquirer... full of crazy conspiracy theories and I hear it's run by sedevacantists, but I'm not entirely sure. Still, they don't seem to think Benedict is Pope -- in fact, no one since like Pius XII or something.

Pretty funny stuff there.

Having checked Novus Ordo Watch, I would agree that it is run by Sedevacantists. No charity at all, just hate. I wonder if they can, in good conscience, still call themselves Catholic.

Dear all,
When Paul VI stopped wearing the Papal Tiara, he asked the patriarch of Lisbon to stop wearing his tiara, a replica of the papal one, but without the keys of St. Peter, and made of Silver instead of gold.
Naturally, both continued to use the crowns on their respective coat of arms.
Now that Benedict the XVI has removed the crown from tha papal coat of arms, will the patriarch of Lisbon be expected to remove his as well?

Dear Filipe,

Pope Benedict has NOT removed the tiara from the general use papal coat of arms which is the emblem of the Vatican.

He has just removed it from his personal coat of arms.
