You are more than correct in what you said above!

You ONLY spoke in defense of the married priest in EC Churches - and you did so quite eloquently.

The Eastern tradition is to have married priests in the parishes and monastics in monasteries.

Quite a balanced approach, I would say.

What the celibate RC priesthood needs today is a good dose of the spirit of sacrifice that comes from asceticism.

Asceticism is something that we all need to return a focus to in our spiritual lives, even though it seems to be politically incorrect to speak about it.

I am very hopeful that the new Pope will help us Catholics return to a more committed moral and spiritual life.
