I know from another thread on this site that there is one in Dublin.......though I know that is not part of the UK, and probobly not near you in Scotland...no matter where you are in Scotland! Hmm, I seem to remember one that meets somewhere in London......but alas, that is probobly just about as far away as Dublin is for you! So, in short I am sorry that I can not be of much more help! I understand there is one in Edinburgh, and a small Chapel in Dundee, though I am not certain of the latter.
Dublin is, IIRC, not in their own parish..although I could be wrong.
There is indeed a UGCC Church in London as well...perhaps those who travel more frequently will know of more...
Gaudior, who hopes that helps

http://www.mliles.com/melkite/indexmelkiteotherunitedkingdom.shtml Links to the Melkite Church in London... There is, also in London, a UGCC Church, Holy Family in Exile...(the site that lists Cathedrals in the UK did not provide an address, or a website) Not sure about the others...

Think perhaps I recognize your nick from the forum at CA; am I right? A listing that used to appear at byzcathlinks (as recently as a couple of months ago) seems to have become defunct, which is really too bad. Our Scots sister, Anhelyna, will hopefully be back on-line this weekend , after her pilgrimage to the Continent to pray much-needed prayers for the rest of us. She will undoubtedly have some additional info. Meanwhile, this is a list of UGCC parishes in Great Britain [ christusrex.org] . It includes both England and Scotland (and maybe Wales). It doesn't include Father Serge Keleher's parish in Dublin; I believe he serves the Liturgy at St. Kevin's Oratory in the Pro-Cathedral, 83 Marlboro Street, Dublin. Alex may be able to confirm that. In London, there are, at least, Melkite, Maronite, Eritrean, Ethiopian, and Byelorussian parishes. Info on the Byelorussian parish is at Marian House [ stmichaelruscath.org] Info on the Maronite parish is at Our Lady of Sorrows [ maronitechurch.org.uk] Info on the Eritrean Ge'ez Rite parish is at St. Francis Church [ selamwesenay.org] Info on the Melkite parish in London (not sure if the contact info is up-to-date on this one) is at St. John Chrysostom Parish [ mliles.com] Perhaps Anton, our Orthodox brother in London, can come up with some tidbits on the ones I'm missing. Or Filipe, in Portugal, may still have info on the Ethiopian parish, which he got a few months ago, hoping his girlfriend would attend and give him an account of the Ge'ez Liturgy . If Neil is correct that you're from CA I remember you too. I think you're located in Stirling.. and the Edinburgh parish would be closest to you.

Thats because Ireland is not a part of Great Britian.

Yeah, that's me on C.A. - makes life so much easier not having to remember different names and passwords.
Thanks all for the info, not sure when I'll get a chance to use it though as wife due in 4 weeks so can't go wandering off too easily!
Regards
JGC

[/b]I noted the Pro Cathedral website doesn't list this, if they are still there (trying to keep it quiet?!?) This is probably my best option as my wife spends time with the inlaws I get to go to the Pro Cathedral, the Carmelite Church off Grafton St and a few proper pints of Guinness in the pub...

Father Serge is still there in Dublin!
And, JGC, did I read that correctly? You are going to have a child in 4 weeks? If so, my prayers for you and your wife, may she have a safe delivery!
Gaudior, in prayer

JGC, Ah, our Administrator came through (good thing he knows this site as well as he does,, because I couldn't find a link to that anywhere on the site's many pages ). I think there is also a Maronite parish in Dublin, but I can't track a link or address for it anywhere. You might inquire of the Maronites in London. Many years, Neil
