Anhelyna I am a Celtic fan, if not a fanatical one! Reminds me of a Sunday when a Rangers / Celtic match clashed with mass, Fr read out some noticies and added (sarcastically) 'If you meet any of those wretched Celtic catholics, please let them know about these noticies!' Fr, like you, is not a football fan!

Dear Friends:
At Woodside Park there's a Roman Catholic Convent and there's a celebration of the Belarussian Liturgy usualy on wednesday (but you have to wake up very early).
I suppose that on sunday there's a liturgy too, but not as early as the week days.

Wonderful thought - but it's rather a long way for JGC and myself to go - but on my next Eastern weekend in London - well who knows - I might just find my way there

I have a question? Is there any place in Ireland where the liturgy is celebrated as it was before Rome made the changes in the liturgies of Ireland? I had always understood that at one time, it may have been very similar to the way we celebrate today in the Eastern Churches.

Pani Rose Oh wow Rose , now that is I suspect the million dollar question. I can't answer it , Alex with his extensive fund of information may know the answer - but I suspect it requires a real student of liturgical history. Perhaps someone could contact Fr Serge Keleher in Dublin - I think if anyone knows he will - but I don't know him so can't. Anhelyna

Rose, If you are asking whether there is anywhere that it is celebrated according to the old Celtic Rite, the answer is "no", at least not anyplace that is in communion with Rome. It seems to me that I saw somewhere that a vagante chapel claims to be celebrating it. There are also some vagante "Catholic" or "Orthodox" Churches in the US that claim to be using that Rite. Mexican, Yes, actually the Divine Liturgy is served daily and Sunday by Mithred Archpriest Alexander (Nadson), Apostolic Visitator for the Byzantine Byelorussians Abroad. Full info is at Byelorussian Liturgy in UK [ stmichaelruscath.org] Many years, Neil
