Congratulations to the six candidates. May they all feel the support of the Churches represented on the Forum as they begin their program of preparation. May they grow in wisdom and grace as Jesus did during the preparation for His work.

Through the intercession of St. Stephen, may they be granted the Grace to complete their God inspired training.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Congratulations to the candidates. If the program proceeds as before, they will very soon realize what the word "formation" means.
Have there been any announcements on candidates attending this program from Parma or Van Nuys?
Any list of those gentlemen?
They will be in my prayers.

I dunno who all came from Parma, but one of 'em was JEFF MARTIN from our parish in Columbus.

Delighted to hear that Rich Ciganko is in the group. Our families got into all sorts of wonderful mischief together when they lived in Ohio. Definitely one of the Good Guys!

From the Eparchy of Parma:

WILLIAM V. FREDRICK from St. Joseph Church, Brecksville, OH

PAUL A. LATCHA from St. Basil the Great Church, Sterling Heights, MI

JEFFREY W. MARTIN from St. John Chrysostom Church, Columbus, OH

DANIEL E. SURNIAK from St. Mary Magdalene Church, Fairview Park, OH

NICHOLAS A. SZILAGYE from St Luke Church, Kansas City, MO

JOSEPH E. THUR from St. Andrew Church, Mentor-on-the-Lake, OH.

It was a pleasure getting to know the new class of Parmasians. Your parish in Columbus should be proud to be represented by Mr. Jeffrey Martin.

Dear Friends,

I can't say that I'm not jealous of these people because I am!

I wish I were in their number, but I can't be.

But I'll pray for them anyway! wink

Congratulations to the deacon candidates from Parma and from Pittsburgh! May their process of formation be prayerful and fruitful.
Excuse me if I sound a little like Abraham asking for still more, but would someone please post the list of deacon candidates from Van Nuys?
Thank you,
Deacon El

Congratulations indeed! I have met some of these, and with the present ordinands to the diaconate from the 1st class (whom I know better), I have such respect for these men, and the generous spirit they have shown. I am so grateful for their willingness to serve the Church.

I have such optimism about the contribution that they will make to the Liturgy, the worship, & the ministry. I pray that it will be nothing short of a great grace for all of us. I am certain, that the restoration of the diaconate in the Archeparchy, will be a most important sign of hope and progress.

Dear Anhelyna,

As we can see by David's avatar, the image constantly looks heavenward.

So perhaps he's "mixed . . .up?" wink

I must apologize for this comment. These fine gentlemen that were accepted into the Diaconate Program as the Class of 2007 have nothing to do with my "issues" on this.

I offer them my best wishes and pray for them.

My "mixed feelings" come from something that is private, some here know it most don't.

It was childish and uncharitable for me to comment as I did.

I ask for everyones forgiveness, especially the gentlemen in the class.
