Check it out! They are showing them viewing the Pope and she has one on. Cool!

Oh wow so does Condi Rice.

And this is the first time a sitting president has gone to a popes funeral.

This is terrible I know, but people are walking by snapping pictures so fast. I wonder if one is going to appear for sale on ebay. I have no idea of why I thought of that, but oh well.

I really do wonder if Bush will become Catholic. Jeb is having a big influence and now this.

I know I have such weird random thoughts biggrin

Well, the Bushes ARE "old money" from New England. I believe Mrs. Laura Bush comes from good breeding as well.

One would hope that they know what is the proper attire for a Pope's funeral.

Yours,

Governor Bush is indeed Latin Catholic. Jeb met his wife, Columba, when he was in Mexico studying Spanish. He later converted to and embraced his wife's faith.

When the President and Mrs. Bush visited the Holy Father in 2004, there was a photo of Laura Bush wearing a white veil.

Yesterday or the day before one of the news networks showed President and Mrs. Bush in audience with the Pope from some time ago. She was wearing a black veil then too.

Dear Friends:

Mrs Bush and the Secretary of State are wearing the traditional formal dress for women visiting the Vatican.

There is nothing to force them to do so, but it was a nice gesture on their parts.

Not only that! Did you hear Vice President Dick Chaney praise the Pope. He went on and on.
I have always believed that George will eventually convert to the Catholic Faith (most probably after he leaves office). Just look how he uses some of the ideas and termonology of JP II on the "Culture of Life."
