Hi. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good collection of Patristic commentaries on the scriptures? I have seen "The Orthodox Study Bible" and often wondered about that one. Any comments on it or any others?

Basically what I am thinking of is something akin to the Navarre Commentaries, but focusing particularly on the Western and Eastern Fathers of the Church.

You might want to try the "Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture" series published by Intervarsity Publishing.

The only thing is it is put together by Protestant editors. Tom Oden I believe is the name of one of them.

I personally love them, but some people are a little worried by the fact it is a Protestant venture. I believe some folks on this forum had trouble with this.

But conservative Catholics and noted Orthodox members Fr. Peter Gilquist and Frederica Mathewes-Green absolutely love them...so do I!!

I hope you check them out.

There is also the four volume set of "The Sunday Sermons of the Great Fathers" These give several homilies to the Gospel readings that were in use before Vatican II. Even though they correspond to neither the Orthodox nor the current RC cycle of Gospel readings, they are a real treasure. These books are sold by Orthodox and Catholics.
