I just bought a used Bible, 1960. The Old Testament is the Douay-Rheims translation, the New Testament is the "Confraternity of Christian Doctrine" translation.
What is the Conf. of C. D.?
I've never heard of this translation before.

You have a NT revision during the time of Pope Pius XII...the question is if the 1st 8 books of the OT have also been revised...The CFD came before the USCCB revisors...and in my opinion a better translation than the NAB,it is well worth keeping...

I have one from the Marian year of 1954, published on the 100th anniversary of the doctirine on the Immaculate Conception. It is beautiful.
