Hi All!

I've been busy writing and editing a couple of new articles on the Jehovah's Witness interpretation of Scripture. (Those who know me know I grew up as a JW.) For those interested, the articles are:

No Heavenly Hope for the Old Testament Saints? [catholic-forum.com]

Hiding the Divine Name [catholic-forum.com]

I'd welcome any comments or suggestions for improvement.

Thanks!

Dave

Thanks so much for the articles! I think there's also a Catholic track about JehWits in Catholic Answers, which has an amusing name of "Are They Awake in the Watchtower?" I think this has to do with the flip-flopping of JehWits with their "prophecies".

Hello,

I have two friends who were raised Roman Catholic but later converted to Mormonism. They claimed it's because the Church is more "moral" than Catholic (no drinking, no smoking, etc).

ODD! I grew up having Mormon neighbors (Yeah, I lived in Oregon too), and I know they had plethora of problems (not only the neighbors but the Mormons in general from where I came from).

What can I do to get two of these friends of mine to come back? I tried to talk to them, but they are extremely STUBBORN and want to stick with Mormonism as the "true church."

Thanks for your advise.

PS, these two friends of mine are also Deaf, so that makes it more difficult because Deaf people tend to be extremely STUBBORN when it comes to deep issues such as religion or politics. SO it's more of a challenge than hearing people.

I'm not too knowledgeable about the Mormons but this site looks like it might be good:

Hope that is of some help.

BTW, spdundas...have you seen this: the entire NT in ASL on DVD?

I'm excited about it and want to order a copy.

In Christ,

Dave
