Dear Friends in Christ,

I've recently received some e-mails from a wonderful Catholic family near here. They are home-schoolers, zealous pro-lifers, and an all-around wonderful bunch unto whom a very sad thing has recently happened: their seven-year-old daughter, Angela, is very ill. They live near Brantford, Ontario. The e-mails are below. Please pray for Angela and for her family.

May our Lord comfort them and bring compete healing to Angela's soul and body.

Eternal Father we offer the the holy wounds of thy Son for the healing of Angela's soul and body.

Dear God we call to you in humble supplication, grant relief to Angela and her family.

We ask this by your infinite mercy and through the intercession of your Servant John Henry Newman.

Holy and Venerable Cardinal Newman pray to our Lord for the healing of Soul and body of Angela.

If Lord you should forsake us, to whom shall we cry?

Blessed Nicholas Charnetsky and all the Holy Martyrs of Ukraine, pray to the Lord that Angela be healed and have many years of health.

I will pray for Angela , and her parents.

Adam if you are in contact with them please tell them that I will place Angela[ and them] in Our Lady's care whilst I am in Lourdes

Lord, have mercy & heal your little one Angela!

Meantime, to those of you on earth, if you or anyone else you know is having a baby anytime soon, PLEASE consider donating the baby's cord blood. It costs you nothing, causes NO harm to the baby (it's taken from the placenta side after the cord is clamped) and SAVES LIVES. Cord blood can be used in many of the same situations where bone marrow can be used - and the need couldn't be clearer. (BTW, if it isn't donated or saved privately, it's discarded as medical waste. That's insane.)

Taking off my health educator hat & replacing my prayer schmatte....

Lord, bring healing to Angela and comfort and peace to her and her family, that through her You might reveal Your glory.

May our Holy Mother and St. Joseph intercede with their Son to bring about the healing of Angela and the strengthening of her parents and family.

O Lord, you said: "Let the little children come to me". Please, in Your mercy, go to the little one Angela since she cannot come to You. Heal her illness as You have told us You would do.

Lord have mercy on Angela Bissonnette, her family, friends, doctors, nurses, and everyone close and dear to them! May Your hand guide and lead them all, may your Holy Spirit comfort and heal them; please visit and help each according to their needs! May your will be done, and may you give all involved the strength and grace to know and do your will. May you bring wonderful blessings, hope, and joy out of this time of great trial. Please comfort and strengthen them all with every good blessing that you know they need.

May the Venerable John Henry Newman, the most Holy Theotokos, St. Joseph, St. Nectarios, St. Jude, St. Luke, Sts. Cosmas and Damien, Holy Archangels Raphael, Michael, and Gabriel, and the guardian angels and patron saints of all involved, please intercede to God for them.

May Christ our God who shed His blood for the forgiveness of all, redeeming us, be close to them always and especially at this time, together with His loving and all-merciful Father, and His Holy Spirit. Lord have mercy. Amen.
