Please remember my friend Jane and her mother - she is caring for her mother in her last few days at home, dying of cancer. I do not know her mother's name.

Most Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
and our Mother,

in the knowledge that you will help us.
Our faith tells us so
and our hearts make sure of this.
In our sickness,
and in the midst of our suffering,
We often call out to you: "Mother!"
Just saying this word
makes us feel better.
When we feel misunderstood and all alone,
We know that you are with us
and that you love us.
Help us, Most Holy Virgin, for we are asking that you support Jane and her mother who is very ill and their family and help us all to love your Son more now and ever and unto ages of ages, Amen.

May the Lord grant strength and courage to Jane. May her faith in His care for her and her mother be a source of consolation.
May Jesus who hung on the cross make easier the end time for Jane's mother.

Jane wrote me that her mother passed away this weekend and that it was very peaceful.
