A couple of posts these past few days from our brother, Art/Bergschlawiner, should recall to our mind that he is presently in Iraq, on duty at Abu Ghraib Prison. Regardless of how one feels about the US presence in Iraq, may I suggest that we offer renewed prayers for Art and all those serving there who, if memory serves me correctly, also includes the nephew of Mary Jo/Porter.

Lord, keep watch over our brother, Art, Mary Jo's nephew, and all those of the allied forces who serve in Iraq. Spare them from harm and bring them home safely to their loved ones, for You are a merciful God and the Lover of mankind.

Saints Addai and Mara intercede before the Holy Throne for peace in Iraq, that the holy temples of our Chaldean, Assyian, and Syriac brethren be preserved, and that all Iraqis of goodwill, most particularly our Chaldean, Assyrian, and Syriac brethren, their clergy and bishops, be likewise spared from harm and granted many years in health and peace and happiness.

Neil,

I will be praying for Art today. Thank you so much for reminding our praying pals here about my great nephew, John, too. John's close friend was killed in that helicopter crash some weeks back and John accompanied the body back to the states. John is now back in Afghanistan and serves in the paratroopers.

Bless you, dear brother in Christ, smile

I join my prayers for Art and John, living heroes to us all!

Men and women (actually still kids to many of us) in harm's way are a very special breed!

Amado
