Just received this e-mail from our Deacon Nicholas Daddona:

Brothers:
Please remember in the charity of your prayers Father Ted Krepp who fell asleep in the Lord last night Sept. 14 Feast of the Holy Cross. As I receive additional information I will post it. May His Memory Be Eternal.

O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Your departed servant, the Priest Theodore, in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is no pain, sorrow, or mourning.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, remember his years of service to You and forgive him every transgression committed by him in word, deed, or thought, since there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and forever. Amen.

May his memory be eternal.

Taken from Saturday's Times Leader:

Quote
The Rev. Father Theodore Krepp
September 14, 2006
The Rev. Father Theodore Krepp, 51, pastor of St. Marys Protection of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church, Kingston, had fallen asleep in the Lord on the Feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross, Sept. 14, 2006, at the rectory of the church.

He was born July 18, 1955, in Baltimore, Md., a son of Theodore and Genevieve (Shinsky) Krepp Sr. of Baltimore, Md. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Jesus School, Baltimore, Md., and the Archbishop Curley High School, Baltimore, Md. He received a B.A. from St. Hyacinth College and Seminary, Granby, Mass.; and a Master of Divinity from Maryknoll School of Theology, Maryknoll, N.Y. He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on Nov. 14, 1982, by the Most Rev Bishop Michael J. Dudick. His pastoral assignments were at St. Nicholas Church, Old Forge; St. Mary Church, Coatesville, Pa.; St. Stephen Church, Amherst, N.Y.; St. Mary Church, Olean, N.Y.; St. Mary Church, Mahanoy City, Pa.; and St. Mary Protection Church, Kingston.

In addition to his pastoral assignments, Fr. Ted was involved in the Deacon Formation Program of the Eparchy of Passaic, and served in the capacity of Chant Professor. He was well-known and regarded for his love of liturgy, music and his melodious voice. He also served as cantor for many clergy gatherings and Diocesan events.

Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers David and Carl Krepp, a sister Pamela K. Pilecki, all of Baltimore, Md.; nieces Laura Snyder and Faith Pilecki; devoted friend Friar Dennis Grumsey, OFM Conv., Pastor of Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin; and the faithful members of St. Marys.

A Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and services for the Burial of a Priest will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Marys Protection Byzantine Catholic Church, 321 Chestnut Ave., Kingston, celebrated by the Most Rev. Bishop Andrew Pataki and the local clergy. Interment will follow in St. Marys Parish Cemetery, Pringle.

Family, friends and parishioners may call at the church for visitation on Sunday from 4 p.m. until a Parastas service at 7 p.m., and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 until a Parastas service at 7 p.m. Those attending Father Theodores funeral on Tuesday should be at the church by 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Eparchy of Passaic, 445 Lackawanna Ave., West Paterson, NJ 07424; or to St. Marys Protection of the Mother of God, Kingston. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Russin Funeral Homes, Plains Township and Edwardsville.

Eternal Memory grant unto your priest servan Fr. Krepp+...

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....
