SubDeacon Stan Cholewinski will be ordained to the Diaconate this weekend, Nov. 16 at 3:30, by Metropolitan Basil at St. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Pittsburgh. Someimtes these passing years of preparationan and study seemed like an eternity(to me anyway), is now here. He is the last in his class to be ordained for Pittsburgh.

But, we have much to do, since we are traveling from Alabama along with a numer of other folks. Please pray for us, that we complete all the tasks at hand sucessfully, throughly, and peacefully in preparation for this blessed time.

Dear Rose, as someone else in the diaconal ordination "holding pattern" I and my family can definitely empathize with your situation. May the Holy Spirit guide your husband and your family in his new minstry.

I pray that the Protomartyr, the Deacon Stephen intercede for your husband, the Deacon-to-be Stanley. May the Lord guide you and prosper the work of your hands, the hands of both of you, to the building of His Body, the Church as you prepare for and after the ordination.

I want to thank you all for the prayers. I have read them several times a day these last few days and have gained great strenth from the reassurance in them.

We will be leaving tomorrow. It looks like everything is falling into place.

Our oldest son is a wonderful cook, (seems to fall to the men in the family ... wonderful cooks) anyway he asked his dad to let him prepare the reception. He does catering also along with his other endeavors. So I know it will be good, although a little hair raising for mom. Seems like one more thing to add to the schedule, which at the time we agreed to it, didn't seem like much. But, I know he wants to make it special for his dad, so this is going to truly be a family affair. Please pray for William as he works and directs his brothers and sisters in their tasks, that they work efficiently in humility and love. That the meal to be shared will be blessing to one and all.

God bless you all!

Rose,

I, too, offer my prayers for you and your husband. May you both find joy and blessings in his diaconal service to the Church and to those whom Jesus places in his path.
