Of your charity please pray for Stephanie Bilynsky, an elderly friend of mine and Diak's who is dying and probably will not live out the week. She has cancer, is still at home, but failing fast. She is resigned and spending her last hours mending fences and making her good-byes. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Thanks. Don

Thanks for your prayers friends. I was able to speak with our pastor a little bit ago. He is going to drive down from Omaha (300 miles!) today to see her and bring her the Sacraments. He is such a good man and devoted priest. Pray for him while he drives to Topeka. Don

We will pray that the Lord in His mercy calls Stephanie home when she is spiritually most prepared...and when all her unfinished business is complete. May she be comfortable and experience no unnecessary pain...and may her last moments be peaceful and serene! May she feel His presence at the moment of her death and may Our Blessed Mother be there to bring her home to Paradise!

In our poor prayers,
+Fr. Gregory

+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who asks for your holy prayers!

Oops! I said Fr. Vasyl is coming 300 miles, that should have been 300 miles round trip. Omaha is only 150 miles from Topeka, still a long distance for making a pastoral call! God bless him and keep him safe.

"Mending fences and saying good byes." A good way to exit. Such grace we all need to pray for.

My prayers for this fine lady!

Hope to meet Stephanie someday in...^

May the Most Holy Theotokos save and protect our dear Babsha Stefka. We sang Mnohaja Lita for her tonight, and while alert she was very weak.

Stephanie was a bit better last night. Her doctor removed about 2 litres of fluid from her lungs yesterday, so she is breathing a little easier. And without so much pressure on her stomach, she was able to eat a bit more as well. She's still very weak and fragile. I have told her about all of the people praying for her and she gave me one of her glowing smiles (her whole face lights up and eyes gleam) and asked me to thank everyone.

I'm so glad that she was helped in this way - it can be an uncomfortable procedure - but afterwards the relief is so great.

Prayers will continue

Prayers for Stephanie, that she be relieved of her pain and discomfiture and that she be strengthened in her knowledge of God's love and the hope of eternal peace in a place of light and love.

To Bbe able to say good-bye to one's earthly relatives and friends eases the pain and suffering for both sides.

I add my prayers for Stephanie's continued well-being!

Amado
