Hello,
Kenneth Leser was called home to the Lord last Sunday. He was the brother of Monsignor William Leser, our pastor.
Just a few weeks ago, Fr. Bill celebrated the funeral for Joyce, Kenneth's wife. I guess those two were not meant to be apart from each other.
Please pray for Kenneth, Fr. Bill and Kenneth Jr.
Please pray for our parish as well. Fr. Bill is leaving tonight to celebrate his brother's funeral, and then to an overdue "vacation" (once a year he becomes the substitute pastor for the single Catholic parish in the Mammoth Mountain area while their pastor goes on vacation). Fr Pierre is also out, for his father's funeral.
Fr. Walt helps out during the weekend, and he will be pretty much in charge this weekend, but he's not here during the week, so we'd better not need a priest this week, because there won't be one.
Fr. Peter from Slovakia will fill in for Fr. Bill while he's away, but he arrives next Monday.
And while we're at it, let's also pray for vocations!
