"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."

Prayer for the Departed

Into your hands, Lord, I commend the soul of your Protopresbyter Andrew, and pray that you will grant him rest in the place of peace, where all your blessed saints repose, and where the light of your Face shines forever. And grant that our present lives may be godly, temperate, and blameless, that, we too may be made worthy to enter into Your heavenly Kingdom with those we love but see no longer; for you are the Resurrection, and the Life, and the Repose of your departed servants, Christ our God, and to you we give glory, to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Christ our Lord, grant rest to the Servant of the Holy Altar, the Protopresbyter Andrew among Your Saints, where there is no pain, sorrow or suffering, but everlasting life!

Lord, remember the soul of Your sleeping Priest Andrew who has fallen asleep and all bishops, priests, and deacons, who have served Your Holy Church; forgive their sins which they committed willingly and unwillingly; grant them Your Kingdom, a part of Your eternal blessings, and enjoyment of Your eternal life!

Together with the Saints, grant rest to the souls of Your servants, Christ, in a place where there is no pain, no grief, no sighing, but never-ending life.

For You are the resurrection, the life, and the repose of Your departed bishops, priests, and deacon, Christ, our God, and we offer up glory all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

May the Lord forgive the Servant of the Altar, the Protopresbyter Andrew and remember him forever!

+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who asks for your holy prayers!

O Lord, receive the soul of Your servant, the Protopresbyter Andrew, who has departed from this life, and lead him to rest in a place of light, happiness, and peace, where there is neither pain nor suffering, neither grief nor sighing. And as You are a gracious God and the Lover of Mankind, remember the years of his service to You and to Your people, forgive him every sin he has ever committed by thought, or word, or deed, for there is not a man who lives and does not sin, for You, Who are the Resurrection and the Life, alone are without sin.

May his memory be eternal.

May the Good Shepherd take to Himself Fr. Andrew. May He grant consolation to those who grieve because of his going before us.
