Please remember my pastor, Father Don Zarkoski, S.D.B., in your prayers. Father Don is 74 years of age, has had three coronary bypass surgeries, and many angioplasts and stents inserted.

A few months ago he was advised that he had a tumor on his brain which was causing him to lose his eyesight. Father Don underwent surgery on May 23rd and seemed to be improving, but within 10 days, he became non-responsive and two additional surgeries were performed to remove a hemotoma which had developed and then to add a shunt to drain fluid which continued to collect on his brain.

He has been non-responsive since the morning of the second surgery and his condition has slowly deteriorated. He is a good and holy priest of Jesus Christ who has preached the Good News in good times and bad. He is greatly loved by his parishioners. The time of his being called home to the house of the Father is not far off. Please pray for him and for the people of his parish and also for his little dog Chico, who pines for his master.

Thank you.

Charles

Lord, I lift up Father Don to you, who has been through so much. Do not prolong his suffering. Bless him with eternal healing and life. I also pray for the members of his parish for peace for all during this difficult time. And for Chico, his little dog, to receive comfort and care now and in the future.

Praying for Father on Father's Day.

Amen.

Prayers for the priest Don Zarkaski...

Dear Lord in your great wisdom and love, please answer the prayers of those who have loved and whose souls have benefited from the spiritual guidance of your priest, Father Don.

Let Thy will be done, and have mercy on his soul and health.

Please touch the heart one of the parishioners of Father Don to take in his beloved little dog Chico, one of your sweet creatures that you have given us for comfort and love, and to watch and care for it in his absence.

In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Dear Amado and Alice,

Thank you so much for your prayers for Father Don. I just learned that he was put on a ventilator yesterday.

Thanks, too, for your prayers for Chico. He doesn`t understand why his master is not with him. He greets every car that comes to the church, looking for Father Don. I am certain that he will have a loving home.

I thank you again for your prayers and I pray that God will bless you abundantly.

In His peace,

Charles

Most Holy Theotokos in the kindness of your tender love, lift up your priest Fr. Don to your beloved Son, his master, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and ask him to restore unto him full health and happiness in this world and the one to come. Amen.

Prayers for Father Don, that the Lord look down with love on His servant, the priest Donald, and grant to him peace and freedom from suffering in these final days before he goes to serve at the Holy Table of Our Lord Himself.

Prayers, too, for the comfort of the little dog, Chico, loyal and loving, who doesn't understand why he is deprived of the one who loved him best.
