Please pray for my kid brother. He witnessed the stabbing of a 16 year old from his school by some guys from another school. They got him in the back of the head. My little brother is only 11 and I could imagine at that age its a pretty traumatic thing to see. I really hope it doesn't leave lasting scars upon his memory.

Myles, Christ is Risen!

Prayers for your brother that the Lord may heal him from this trauma.

In the Risen Christ,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

For Myles Little Brother, may Jesus meet him in all the hidden places of his mind, body, and soul in the name of Jesus ...
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....

Myles

I offer my prayers for your brother that he may not be traumatised by this horrific incident, and of course for the well being of the victim.

Sometimes, as in my case, incidents like this are less traumatic when you're young. Growing up in the Englewood area of Chicago, I witnessed my first stabbing from our back porch, when I was 4. A year later while out with my Mom for a walk, unfortunately I got to see my second. For some strange reason, back then my eyes were opened with wonderment to such occurences, now that I'm older they make me sick to my stomach.

Through the intercession of St. Dymphina may his mind and emotions be healed of this horrendous trauma. Lord have mercy!
