Dear Gordo,
Reading about little Jesse has brought tears to my eyes.
One never knows where God wants to perform His miracles, or how He wants to perform them. Nor does one know if our Lord, with His All emanating Love, wants to take and embrace a little boy while the child still maintains all the purity of an angel.
I will say special prayers to my beloved Saint Nektarios of Pentapolis for him and his family. He has never failed me. His holy oil has performed many miracles, and can be readily obtainable I'm sure from the Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church in Charlotte, N.C., as well as the one in Covena, Ca. There is also a monastery of Saint Nectarios in Roscoe, N.Y.
Please let Jesse and his family know that we are all saying prayers for him, and for all of them. Dear Lord give them the strength and the peace that only You can give.

Zenovia Thank you, Zenovia. I too have a devotion to St. Nectarios and ask for his wonder-working intercession. I have an icon of him, as well as some of the holy oil and water from his shrine in NY, I believe. THank you all! Your brother in Christ, Gordo

I would also ask in a special way that you remember his father, my cousin, Chuck, who was admitted to the hospital today with chest pains. He is under tremendous stress, since he is still working while trying to care for his dying son, his wife and two other children. Not to mention that his father just had a heart attack and multiple by-pass surgery and his mother was put into the hospital for heart trouble as well.
God how much is a family expected to bear? God enough is enough! Thank you for the abundance of grace you are pouring over them, heal all of their wounds and grant them your peace. As the heart Christ's mother was peirced from pain of watching her child suffer, Blessed Mother pray for these your children, especially the mother and grandmother, whose hearts are being peirced moment by moment. St. Jospeh, you of all fathers understand the stress, pray for Chuck and the grandfathers, that they may be healed and receive the peace of Christ to carry them through these present times. Jesus, Joseph, and Mary pray for the whole family to the glory of God the Father, amen.
