Please pray for a family member (Becky) who is addicted to (legal) drugs. She is in the stage where she refuses to admit she has any problem at all - yet she's definitely having health problems related to her addiction.

Please pray that she'll realize what's going on and ask for help. And that we'll be ready to help her when she does!

The Cleveland Plain Dealer did a series last week on a 19-year-old who died from heroin. His parents are psychiatrists and had no idea of his experimenting with heroin. Maybe these links could help:

Lord Jesus, ask our Heavenly Father to remove the blinders from her eyes that she may see the truth around her in all circumstances.

The Akathist of the Theotokos "Inexhaustible Cup" is especially efficacious for addictions:

May the Lord God help and strengthen his servant Becky.

May the Mother of God, wellspring of strength and healer of the sick, help her daughter in this difficult affliction.

Prayers for Becky, that the cloud be removed from her eyes, that she be able to see the danger with which she is faced, act upon it, and be freed from it.

Prayers also for the needs of the family of GeorgiaByzantine.
