GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST!

In your charity, please remember Tom Hennessey,III, the son of my friend Tom, Jr.

Tom III has been called up with his National Guard unit. He has been in-active for 4 yrs. He will be deployed to Iraq on Oct 23rd.

His Dad is beside himself with worry...

Tom III is worried because his wife has just had a new baby and is not working. While with the Guard and on deployment, his salary will be cut by 2/3rd's. He's afraid they'll loose their home if his company will not make up the difference in the salary....

thanks!

mark

May God and the Theotokos protect Tom from harm and may his service be quick so that he can return to his loving family.

Prayers for a safe service and return.

Have him contact the Employment Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) office in their community. Or call the national office at 800-336-4590.

Prayers indeed for Tom - and a quick resolution to the financial problems

May Our Blessed Lady spread her Mantle of Protection over his family.

[ And remember that on some Calendars it is the Feast of the Protection of the Mother of God today smile ]

Anhelyna

PS - the suggestion in the previous post sounds good to me - they have nothing to lose trying it

In some states the Soldier's and Sailor's Relief Act applies to Guardsmen. He should contact his financial folk in the National Guard, as they know all these answers.

Prayers for his safety, and for that of his wife, and child.

Gaudior, in prayer

May the Lord watch over him!

Prayers for Thomas, that he will be safeguarded and returned safe to his family. Prayers also for his wife, baby, and his parents, that their fears will be assuaged and that the needs of his family will be met during his absence.

"O, Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance. Grant victory to our country over its enemies, and preserve your community by the power of the cross."

Watch over those who serve our country and bring them home to safety.

I will remember Thomas and all those in the armed forces as I offer up this chant for them on Sunday (that first part is our gradual antiphon).

"Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine: et benedic hereditati tuae. Ad te Domine clamavi: Deus meus, ne sileas a me, et ero similis descendentibus in lacum."
