Dear Friends,

My wife's uncle, Fr. Ihor Chabursky, is dying of cancer and does not have long to live. He appears to be slipping away faster than his doctors expected and the family is on a "death watch" now.

His father was Fr Stepan Chabursky, the author of "Epiclesis."

Please pray for Fr Ihor!

Alex

Dear Friends,

Fr Ihor reposed in the Lord yesterday, on the Julian Calendar Feast of the Conception of St Anne at around 3:30 pm.

Vladyka Stephan visited him a couple of days earlier and the funeral will be next week.

Thank you for your kindness and I continue to ask for your prayer for the repose of his soul!

Alex

Grand rest, O Lord, to the soul of thy Servant, Ierei Ihor.

And grant him rest where all the Saints repose.

Vichnaya yomu pam'yat!

Eternal Memory, to our departed brother the Priest Ihor!

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai
