Oh, Pani Rose

I'm so sorry to have not seen your post on Deacon Stan's staph infection 'til tonight. Give him our love - you have our love, too, of course. Know that our prayers are with you both - now and always.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, Deacon Stan, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I praise God and thank you all for the continued prayers. Deacon is very much at peace and rest. Waiting is getting to him though biggrin They can't do anything until the staph is way, way under control. I would say God is working wonder patience - not that he wasn't - but now!

Ann and I are trying to keep him from getting our creeping crud. Lord willing he has enough antibiotics in him that nothing can bother him. He finished the Vancomycin IV they gave him for 17 days. He will be on two antibiotics - a sulpher and mycin - until he is through the surgery and healed. They said maybe six months - so that means we are going to have to stay on our toes and make sure we keep plenty of natural flora going into his body so his whole system doesn't get messed up. But, God is in control!

Deacon is doing ok. He is holding his own where he is at. The staph infection is under control and the wound is healing up - one wound has already healed. He sees the surgeon on Wed. and my cardiologist the following Wed. - I hope somehow they can get him in earlier. He(my cardiologist) is willing to work along with you, but also, he really puts everything together. In fact he has given me a few natural supplements to use which have really helped. Since that has been the course of healing this crazy body of mine - using natural food supplements, under the direction of another doctor- he observes and watches and says as long as I am improving and turning things around it is good. However, Deacon Stan doesn't have the luxuary of time, but when the surgeon goes in there, it will be with our confidence that everything that is being done needs to be done for sure.

We pray for all of you and thank God for your generosity in prayer. Deacon Stan says he feels the power of the prayer on his life. He was pleased that he was able to go to Diving Liturgy last night(Sat.), but did not serve the Altar. But, he was there and that was so very necessary for him. Praise be to God!
