Dear Friends:
I would like to ask you to remember my mother in your prayers today.
At 3:30 this morning she had a heart attack while in hospital.
At 10:00 an angio-plasty was performed on her heart and she is currently in serious but stable condition in hospital.
May I thank you all for your kind consideration in advance.

May the Lord come to the aid of His servant; may He send His Spirit and pour out the graces needed for a healthy mind and body, and may He restore her to health. And may the Lord also send His graces to her family and loved ones as they provide care and support.

By The Grace of God and The Prayers of Pious People...
Has anyone ever heard of a more beautiful and majestic statement of faith?
I have an acquaintance, when asked how he is, always answers with "By the Grace of God and the Prayers of Pious People..."
I never took the phrase much to mind and only regarded it as just a nice traditional platitude.
But because of recent family occurrences, I have been made fully aware of the power of these words.
When the Lord physically left this place we call earth, he enjoined us to "love one another as I have so loved you"
Can there be any higher expression of this Christ-likened love than the prayers offered by strangers in response to pleas from other strangers?
At the darkest of times, when the doctor used the words "very ugly" to describe my mother's vital signs, I received comfort and strength from so many unseen supports.
My dear friends, and I flatter myself to be able to call you this, as long as I live I will always remember that in my family's time of need you responded so generously with your prayers.
"By the Grace of God and the Prayers of Pious People", my mother is home and slowly recovering from her ordeal.
May God in his infinite mercy, grant health and prosperity to you, your families, and loved ones all the days of your lives.
