I went to the funeral yesterday, and it was a wonderful expression of our faith in the resurrection that Joshua has experienced and that we all hope to share one day. There was an outpouring of support from both the local community and from around the country - I would estimate that over 600 people were there. Andy and Regina will have tough times ahead, I am sure, but they can be sure that many, many people love and support them during this time.

My spiritual father was one of the concelebrants, and he called me last night to tell me how profoundly beautiful the celebration was. It was a fitting tribute to the faith of that family and the whole community. I understand that Father Benedict Groeschel also concelebrated.
I pray that little Joshua was greeted in heaven by my young cousin, Jesse, who died this past April not too far from Joshua. They were both the same age.
