Please pray for my son 2 year old Nicholas who is sick again. He just got out of the hospital 2 weeks ago for being dehydrated from a flu bug. Now he is throwing up again and we might have to take him to the ER again.

St Thibauld de Marley pray for this little one of God that he will receive the healing touch of our Saviour. Give his parents and the doctors wisdom to do how to help him.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Prayers for little Nicholas's recovery.

Ray, I remember when my children were young, how sometimes these type of things would come back over and over again until you were at your wits end. In my own case, there were years where almost the whole winter seemed as if it had passed and I realized I hadn't really left the house much because of all the nursing I was doing.

I know how frightening and how frustrating it is. Children get sick so easily and then they get weak from not eating and they get sick again-- and one must thank God that we atleast have the medicine at our disposal that we do today.

Also, remember the natural cures in food: rice is used throughout the world as a natural healer and comforter for intestinal woes--and the BRAT diet (an easy acronym used by the medical world for remembering the basic foods allowed during intestinal and stomach viruses):
Bananas
Rice
Applesauce
Tea

May St. Nicholas and St. Nektarios intercede to our loving God for the health of sweet little Nicholas. Amen.

With love in Christ,
Alice

He is better now!

Thanks for your prayers!

Last night he threw up 9 times and we feared he was going to get dehydrated again. Our doctor told us if it happened in the morning to take him back to the ER.

Well, I had some holy oil giving to me by a ROCOR priest when my grandmother was on her death bed. The oil was blessed by Saint John of San Francisco when he was still alive (another story my grandmother got healed). I anointed Nicholas (using a brush Alex) on his forehead and said a prayer. Nicholas did not throw up again. In fact today he is perfectly fine!

Saint John of San Francisco I really a great Saint. For those who dont know him I would suggest this site: http://www.rocor.org.au/lives/stjohnsanfranciscoshanghai/
