Slava Isusu Christu!
Dear friends,
In your charity, your prayers are humbly requested for the health of my father, David, who was just diagnosed with a stomach tumor. Most likely he will undergo surgery next week - we'll know more tomorrow.

I'd especially ask that you call upon Blessed Teodor Romzha, Blessed Pavel Gojdich, and the unmercenary physicians Kozma and Demjan that God give my Dad the strength to overcome this, and to my Mom as well because she's very afraid for him.

With my kindest thanks for your intercession! Presvjataja Bohorodice, spasi nas!

Sure. I'll remember him in my prayers. Blessings and peace to you.

Adam

I will add my prayers to all the others.

May the Father pour His healing Grace on David and sustain you and your Mother at this time.

I will say a prayer in the Chapel of SS Cosmos and Damian when I am in Lourdes.

May our Holy Theotokos, Our Holy Mother of Perpetual Help, who many of us just visited her shrine in Uniontown pray to her Son Jesus Christ and restore the health of your father David. For when we pray perpetually to our holy "Bohorodice" and our holy Father St. Nicholas of Myra, they will not forsake us in our time of need!
"Bohorodice D'ivo radujsja, obradovannaja Marije, Hospod' so toboju. Blahoslovenna ty vo zhenach, i blahosloven plod chreva tvojeho: jako rodila jesi Christa, Spasa, Izbavitel'a dusham nashim!"

Dear in Christ,
Thank you all for your prayerful expressions of concern. The surgeon scheduled my Dad's surgery for October 2 -- in the festive period of the Holy Protection of Our Lady. smile

We really don't know anything else until then. But we are still quite worried, trying to temper that with hope in the Lord's mercy.

And it makes my parents feel so much better to know that so many people are praying for Dad. God bless you all! smile

May the Lord sustain you and your family. May He guide the hand of the surgeon and grant healing to David, your father.

I really don't know what to say except thanks be to God and to all the good people who prayed and expressed their hopeful good wishes.

My Dad's surgery was a success (except that one of his kidneys had to be removed) and his recovery in the week since then has been astounding. He'll be coming home from the hospital tomorrow. His vitals are very good, he doesn't have much pain or soreness, he's walking without much trouble, he's eating normally since yesterday, and his prognosis is, I believe, good. Wow!

Chvala Bohu! Djakuju Isuse!

And thanks everybody--God bless you.

Lemko,
That is good news to hear about your father and even better about the power of prayer! Mine are still with you, your father and your family.
God Bless,
-Janet
