Dear Friends,

Some of you may remember that at this time last year my younger daughter Tina was injured at work and we went through months of anguish about HIV and Hep C problems..

The prisoner who injured her has been in court - the Police brought an action against him and his incareation was extended - much to his chagrin as he had been told by his Solicitor that any extra sentence would be concurrent but it was actually consecutive !!

However for all these months since, Tina has been having monthly blood tests and very sadly she rang me this morning [it's actually 1.30pm here wink ] to say that her liver is still affected and they fear that this damage is permanent. It does not seem that anything in the way of further treatment will help and indeed if she is exposed to TB [ highly likely given where she works] they will not be able to give her preventative therapy.

I would ask that in your charity you would please say a prayer for her from time to time.

A permanently worried

Dear Angela,

I am praying that Tina's ailment is not permanent.

Angela,

I pray that your daughter will be healed and that the Lord will open a "door" to new employment where her poor mother doesn't have to worry so about her.

Dear Nicky's Baba

Whether she moves or not is down to Tina - this mum does not believe in attempting to influence her !! I couldn't - she does her own thing.

However since her promotion she has been moved to the security side away from 'residential care'. That would seem to be an inprovement but she is now one of the specially trained control and restraint 'experts' who are available to cover the UK in case of severe riots in Prison Establishments. Out of the fying pan into the fire would you not say biggrin

Well we have to untie the apron strings at some point.

But we are so gateful for all the prayers in the past-- I am certain that without all the prayers of my friends here [ yes you all are wink ] I would not have got through this patch last year.

Dear Angela,

It seems that permanent worry is endemic to mothers!

You and Tina are in my prayers. May our Mother intercede for you both and for your family and your friends  .

May you be gifted with much good news!

Steve
