I have just learned of the death of the youngest sister of Queen Elizabeth, Her Royal Highness, the Princess Margaret.

I realize that this follows on the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's 50th coronation anniversary, and must be a horrible experience for her and the family.

May the Lord, in His mercy, give peace and succor to the family. May He bring His servant, Margaret, to His home. And may He give peace and health and happiness to the whole family.

Lord, be merciful!

Blessings!

Queen Elizabeth's father also died on the day of her corination. So this is also the anniversary of her fathers death.

I think that at last HRH the Princess Margaret is at peace. The last few years have been troubled ones for her, with all her health problems.

May she rest in peace.

May Our Blessed Lady bring comfort to all her friends and relatives mourning her passing - may their grief with the passing of time, be eased

May HRH Margaret find the joy and happiness for which she seemed to search her whole life in the Face of the One Who Loves her.

My sincere condolences. Does anyone know if she had the great pleasure of dying within the Catholic Fold? or within the Orthodox one?

Dear Joe,

I think she just died after a life-time of some great pleasure, period.

A wonderful lady who, when learning that her father had become King George VI, asked her sister Elizabeth if this meant she would be Queen one day.

"One day," Elizabeth replied.

"Poor you!" Margaret responded.
