Please, in your mercy, give prayer to my work colleague Barbara and her family. Her oldest son was murdered last Friday night. He was shot in the side while in his car, and while trying to escape ran into a truck in Prince George's County, Maryland. When the police arrived, he was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Barb is a most wonderful person and has assumed the role of "den mother" to all of us in the health and safety division of the union. She bakes cakes for birthdays, and is always asking about our well-being and that of our families, and doing whatever she can to help us along. She keeps an always-full candy dish on her desk for everyone on the 6th floor. She is the epitome of a loving caring person. She had a quintuple coronary by-pass five months ago and is still in the process of recovery. (If she tries to pick up a box of publications for the mail room, we yip-and-yap and grab the box and tell her NOT to overexert!!! We love her to death.)

Her son "found Jesus" and was baptized at a local evangelical church back in June and this has been a great comfort to her. The funeral was a free-form evangelical Christian service. It ripped my guts out.

Please, I beg you, in your prayers, remember Barbara and her son Bobby, and their family in your prayers. To lose your eldest son on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and while preparing for Christmas (which Barb does up in Aces!!) is an incredibly traumatic experience. Please pray to God that He come to her and grant her (and her family) that peace that He alone can give.

Mercy, Lord!

Lord Have mercy! Grant peace O Lord unto thy handmaiden in her hour of grief. May the Comfort of the Saints and Holy Angels comfort her thru her faith in the Holy Trinity! Amen

Dr John, My heart goes out to Barbara and her family on the murder of her son. Our daughter's fiance was murdered the day before New Years Eve this past year. Our prayers for the intercession of the Holy Royal Passion-bearers Nicholas, Alexandra, Olga, Maria, Tatiana, Anastasia, and Alexis resulted in a real spiritual comfort and healing for our daughter who was able to forgive the murderers and gain the peace of Christ back into her life. I will lift her up in our prayers to the Holy Royal passion-Bearers as well.

Holy Royal Passion-Bearers Nicholas, Alexandra, Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexis Pray to God for the repose of the Servant of God Robert and the comfort and healing of soul and mind of the Handmaiden of God Barbara. Amen

Your brother in Christ,
Thomas

Dear Dr. John,

May Barb be given the gift of consolation by the Son Whose mother held His lifeless Body to her breast. May Barb's son share the joy of life with Mary's Son.

May the Spirit guide you and your co-workers as you do the work of consolation and strengthening in Barb's life.

Dear Dr. John,

Lord have mercy! (40X)

I am not a theologian, like you, Dr. John, so I don't know how many Angels could fit on the head of a pin. But I invoke the Nine Archangels for them:

St Michael, protect them!
St Gabriel, succour them!
St Raphael, guide them!
St Uriel, pray for them!
St Salaphiel, console them!
St Yehediel, embrace them!
St Barachiel, uphold them!
St Hephael, defend them!
St Talachiel, heal them!

All holy Archangels, cover them with your wings!

May the Most Holy Mother of God pray for them and protect them at this terrible hour!

I am very grateful for all the prayers for Barb and her son.

May I also presume upon your kindness to resume your prayers for her. Her mom, who has had some significant health problems recently, has experienced a significant downturn.

May the Lord come again to my sister Barb, and to her Mom. Lord, because You truly love us, Please, I beg you, come to my sister Barb, to her deceased son, and to her Mom -- as well as to Barb's son and her daughter and husband --.

Please give them all Your strength and Fortitude. And take from us whatever is needed to sustain them in their pain and fear. And I ask my brothers and sisters of the Forum to offer a tiny prayer to help this family.

Thanks to all of the brothers and sisters for their prayers and offerings for the Leonardi family.

Blessings in abundance to all who offer prayers! (And my thanks.)

Blessings!
