In your charity, could you please keep Archpriest Viktor Sokolov, Rector of Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral in San Francisco in your prayers?? He has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Also, please keep Matushka Barbara and the Sokolov children in your holy prayers.

May the protection of the Mother of God be with the servant, Victor Sokolov the priest, during his illness and therapies. May she also comfort his family during this stressful and worrisome time. May the intercessions of the saints, including St. Nektarios, the patron wonderworking saint of cancer, bring him to health and many years of service to our Lord. Lord Jesus Christ, Who has numbered Your servant Viktor among the Archpriests at the Holy Table grant him Your constant companionship and friendship throughout his illness. May this Archpriest feel You presence in his life like never before and may Your healing power work in him and in the lives of all his family daily during this time of serious medical crisis! Be O Lord, a source of strength and comfort for him, for he has served You with faith and hope by ordination for his salvation and that of Your Church. Keep Father Viktor close to You and Your Most Holy Mother, the Ever-Virgin Mary during these difficult days and may Your presence console and support him daily with complete trust in You and Your will for his life! May You remember his archpriesthood in Your Kingdom alway, now and ever and unto ages of ages, Amen.

Prayers for Archpriest Viktor that the disease with which he has been diagnosed be amenable to treatment and that he be granted many years of health in the service of the Lord and the bosom of his family.
Prayers also that the Holy Theotokos comfort and strengthen Matushka Barbara and the rest of Archpriest Viktor's family during this time of stress and uncertainty.
"One day all our ethnic traits ... will have disappeared. Time itself is seeing to this. And so we can not think of our communities as ethnic parishes, ... unless we wish to assure the death of our community."
