CHRIST IS TRULY RISEN---AND IN OUR VERY MIDST!
A PRAYER FOR ALL ANIMAL COMPANIONS
Lord God, Compassionate Wisdom, Pure Spirit, in the beginning when You brought forth life, You committed the stewardship of Creation to our first parents.
In Your providence we see Your love, and we find the beginnings and the endings of all journeys within Yyour glory.
We recall with heart-felt gratitude the lives of the animal companions who have shared our days.
In life they gave witness to your glory, in death they are memories of grace and beauty.
May we find in this mystery of the rhythms of our lives, grace, wisdom, fortitude, and the peace that passes human understanding, so that we may see You more clearly, love You more dearly, and follow You more nearly.
May all Creation praise, reverence, and serve Your Holy Name of beauty and justice.
These blessings we ask, with confidence in Your eternal love, entrusting all our animal companions to the care and protection of St. Francis, through Your Son Jesus Christ, compassionate Lord, by whose wounds we are healed.
Amen.
In the Risen Lord, +Fr. Gregory
+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who asks for your holy prayers!

From our friend Don As for Anna. She now has a string of tumors running down her left breasts and up into the left arm pit. They range in size from one inch in diameter to pea size. She is still eating and playing some, but spends most of her time sleeping. I think the prednisone is keeping her fairly comfortable, but as quickly as the tumors are growing, I can't see that she will remain that way much longer. I continue to give her anything she wants and watching closely for changes in her comfort level. When I am able to notice a change for the worse in that, I will have her put to sleep. She remains as always, extremely devoted to me in every way.As for Don himself - I will quote a little I hope you had a wonderful Pascha! Mine was nice, but quite busy...too much so and I ended up doing way too much. I'm not quite as strong and I expected myself to be.He has now had 2 iron infusions and has noticed a difference already - he is to have more blood work soon. Bur as well as having a visitor for Pascha Don also spent all the Saturday morning and into the afternoon baking and preparing his basket. He missed Stephanie , very much so as she had always loved the Paschal Liturgy - Liturgy and a Panakhyda for Stephanie have been scheduled for next weekend and Don intends to be present. Please keep him in your prayers Anhelyna

Dear Don,
May you be consoled by all the good that you have been done and continue to do for so many!
I pray that your health concerns find healing and you find consolation in the gift of strength to bear suffering that you like John Paul II have received.
My heart and prayers are with you and your anna. I pray that she play forever in the Eternal Now.

It is so sad, what Don has been going through. I remember his fiesty posts in better times. May God console him and give him light. "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you.

I've heard from Don again [ OK - yes I hear fairly regularly ] Yes, this has been a busy week. My weekend was quite nice though. Saturday I spent the evening with friends and that was good, then on Sunday I was up early baking some pastries to take to church for after Liturgy. I was so happy, all of Stephanie's family in Kansas were at the DL and Panakhyda. I cried like a baby when Father intoned her name. But it felt good. After Panakhyda we had cake and coffee as usual, everyone was telling Stephanie's sons how much she was loved in the short time she had been going to church there and how sorry they were to lose her. It made me feel good to hear all of those beautiful comments. Her son Gene then took the family (and me!) out to get something to eat at a fish and chips place. It was such a beautiful evening, that when we finished eating we went to a nearby park to enjoy the sunshine and flowers.
I am feeling pretty good these days and so happy that spring is finally here! I've got more energy and will try to slowly increase my activities to make use of it. I am so happy it is finally happening.
That's about all the news I have. Anna is the same, I think I will take her to see my vet sometime in the near future and have her examined again. The tumors are larger and growing faster. She still doesn't seem to be in any pain, but I don't know how much longer that can last.
Have a wonderful week.If anyone wishes to pass a message to Don - please do contact me. Anhelyna
