Please pray for Brother Mark of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Monastery in Butler PA. Some of you may know he has been struggling with cancer, and he is now very weak and was moved to a nursing home last week. Please pray also for new vocations for that monastery.

Our prayers for Brother Mark from his fellow members of the Youngstown-Warren Ohio chapter of the Society of St. John Chrysostom. Brother Mark has been a steadfast and valued member of our group which works and prays for the unity of the apostolic churches. We pray God to grant him peace.

Prayers for the soul of Brother Mark Zavatsky of Holy Trinity Monastery in Butler, Pennsylvania who passed Friday.
O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Your departed servant, the brother Mark, in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is no pain, sorrow, or mourning.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, remember his years of service to You, forgive him every transgression committed by him in word, deed, or thought, since there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and forever. Amen.

May the memory of Brother Mark be eternal and blessed.

Eternal memory, O Lord, for Brother Mark.

We are grateful for his life here on earth which has glorified you.

May his passing be a blessing for many including those at his monastery, but comfort them in their loss too.

Let those you call to the monastic life...hear your call, O Lord, answer you, and give them srength to overcome obstacles and go...

In the Name of Jesus Christ
