Dear in Christ,
The news sez a plane has gone down in Queens. Details are sketchy and contradictory at this point, but whether it was an "innocent" plane crash or another act of evil, there are still people dead, others at risk, and many who will mourn.
For all of them, let us pray, "Lord, have mercy!!"

I'm watching the news as we speak, and it's strange since I was in Queens just yesterday. The FBI apparently believes there was an explosion on board; whether or not that was a bomb or mechanical failure, no one knows yet. The fires and black smoke are literally hellish.
Yes, pray we must...

Lord have mercy! May God grant rest to the victims and peace to their families.
God bless the people in whose neighbourhood the plane crashed. I heard on the news that they had many victims in the WTC tragedy as well.

Amen to all the posts. It was a sad day in the City of New York and especially that neighborhood, since it lost 90+ firefighters, police officers, EMT personnel and people who worked in the World Trade Center during the recent terrorist bombing. Also, there were at least six people in the neighborhood who lost their lives in the crash. My thoughts and prayers are with these people and with the people of the Dominican Republic who lost 240+ of their countrymen in the crash.
