In your charity, would y'all please pray for 7yo Emily, daughter of a ver good friend, who was hospitalized last night. Nobody's quite sure what's going on yet, but something is definitely amiss - her heart was beating very rapidly, and her liver appears to be enlarged. There is a genetic immune deficiency which can't be helping. Prayer much appreciated.

May the Mother of the Child of Nazareth intercede with her Son for Emily's healing. May her family and friends find strength through Mary's intercession.

Dear Sharon,

May the Mother of God, the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley, cover her with Her Mantle of Protection!

Dear Sharon,

I offer all of my suffering in this day and others for Emily and her family. May the know the love of God in a greater way than ever before. May her healing be in the arms of Jesus, wether on this earth or in heaven.

Many thanks to all. Surgery is scheduled for today - the needle biopsy did not acquire sufficient tissue to make a definitive diagnosis. While they are doing the more extensive biopsy today, they will also place a line for chemo, which she may begin as soon as Friday.

Fr. Leo Schlosser, OSB, (who knows the family) very kindly brought a small bottle of Lourdes water to the Episcopal festivities yesterday. I will take it to the hospital tonight.

Please keep up the prayers. In addition to their own efficacy, it is a great comfort to the family to know how much prayer surrounds them.

In Christ,

Sharon

Dear Sharon,

Please tell Emily's parents that we have taken her to our hearts. May that be an icon of the love that the Healer has for her.

May she be healed. May it be so.

Friday afternoon update:

They have confirmed the type of tumor. It is advanced, but the sort that is usually responsive to chemo, which she will begin this afternoon. Docs quote an 80% survival rate.

I think prayer improves those odds....

Many thanks to all. We're far from out of the woods, but at least the path has now been located.

Sharon,
A small bottle of Lourdes Water is on it's way to you for Emily.

More will come during next week when I am there.

I do hope the various Postal Services will speed things along

May Our Mother wrap them in Her Mantle of Protection.

Angela
