I humbly ask for your prayers for my cousin Bob, a parishioner at Annunciation Parish in Homer Township, Illinois, who is scheduled to undergo quadruple heart bypass surgery on the 23rd of this month.

Also, please remember in your prayers Bob's brother, Ron, who is also facing major health issues.

I ask that you allow your holy prayers to join with mine, theirs and those of their wives, children and the rest of our family, as we ask for God's mercy and compassion.

Finally, I ask that you also remember my widowed Aunt Eva, Bob and Ron's mom, as she goes through the unimaginable anguish of being witness to the failing health of her only children. May God's will allow her to enjoy many, many more earthly years in the company of both of her sons.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

In Phil. 4:4-7 we're promised that if we rejoice in all our circumstances and fearlessly present our requests to God with thanksgiving, He'll provide a peace that surpasses human understanding to guard our hearts and minds.

Gracious Lord, remember in your mercy those who suffer today. Give strength and encouragement to those who minister to their needs. Remember your promise not to let them be tested beyond what they are able to bear. Above all, give them the reassurance that you are with them as they walk through this valley of the shadows. And in your good time send healing of body and spirit. We pray especially for Robert, Ronald, and their mother Eva, keep them all in Your care and spare them any unnecessary suffering. We ask all of this is the Holy Name of Jesus the Christ, Who with You Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and rules as One God, now and forever and unto ages of ages, Amen.

+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who asks for your holy prayers!

May the Lord God of all creation, Who abundantly supplies our needs, meet the needs of Bob, Ron, and Aunt Eva. His Word says that the greatest is love, may they know His love in a very special way during this time, and that they may grow continually closer to Him being ever more aware of His peace, fore Jesus you are the Lover of Mankind.
