Prayers for Matthew, that his doctors be guided by the intercession of the Holy Saints Luke, Cyril and Methodius, Unmercenary Physicians, in treating him most efficaciously and successfully, so that he be restored to health and to the loving arms of his family.

ahhh, did I just type Saints Cyril and Methodius when I meant to type Saints Cosmas and Damien eek ?

John,

My brother, you are so kind, to have merely posted your prayer and gently corrected my faux pas without ever mentioning it.

Many years,

Neil, renewing his vow to never post in the a.m. without coffee shocked

Dear Neil:

Be careful with the coffee -- coffee and chocolate give me kidney stones, so I stay far away.

Christ is Risen.

Oh MY God!

Lord have mercy on my heart!

My son had broken his neck in a car accident and was only a breath away from being paralyzed for the rest of his life. This (Matthew) is a pain no parent should have to bear.

The whole family is now in my heart felt prayers. Even now, just remembering how that was - makes me shutter and my heart stop. A devastation and helplessness which only another parent can know.

I will put his name on a post-it and stick that to the cross on my wall. Every time I look at that cross I will send his name up to heaven.

Please tell his parents we are all praying for them.

May He have pity on us all and save us from our broken hearts least they never mend.
